Silicone in Automotive & Rubber
A broad category of silicone fluids, silicone emulsions, and silicone specialty high-performance materials, such as reactive amino silicone polymers and silicone resins, are used in the automobile and rubber industries.
In order to speed up the release of objects formed in molds, like tyers, rubber components, shoes, concrete, hot water bottles, and many others, silicone release agents are utilized as additives or coating solutions in release applications.
Silicone’s unique properties can improve the spreading and wetting of formulations. Some direct silicone coatings are employed to enhance substrate shine.
